Near Neighbours | Faithful Friends Exhibition

Near Neighbours | Faithful Friends Exhibition

The Faithful Friends exhibition was commissioned by the wonderful people at the Faithful Neighbourhoods Centre, (FNC), in Birmingham.  Its part of the Near Neighbours programme that aims to ‘develop relationships across diverse faiths and ethnicities in order to improve their communities’.  The project focuses on ’15 pairs of people  and each pair are presented in their locality with a brief explanation of how they met and how their friendship has grown. The stories include people from across Birmingham and from variety of faith backgrounds ages and genders’.

The FNC have  put in a fantastic amount of work to get the exhibition displayed at many different venues across the city.  The exhibition has now landed at the new Library of Birmingham.  It opened on Monday 1st December 2014 and is there for a period of 2 weeks, until Sunday 14th December. It was opened by the wonderful  Bishop of Birmingham, David Urquhart.  If you get the opportunity please do go down and see it, the exhibiiton is enhanced by the beautiful architecture of the new Library
